Victory Earned: A Brand-New Chapter Begins for the EAA!

We did it. The RUNoff results are in, and the Responsive Union Now (RUN) slate has officially won this election!

Before we dive into what comes next, we want to take a moment to commend our opponent, Christina Bohringer, on her campaign and candidacy. It is never easy putting your name into the hat, and we sincerely look forward to working with her and her supporters as we write the EAA’s next chapter together.

With that said, this historic milestone does not belong to David, Jasmin, or any single individual. This victory belongs entirely to YOU.

Look at what we overcame together:

1.) You stood up against injustice when our slate was unfairly disqualified. Instead of accepting it you flooded inboxes with emergency emails to demand due process.

2.) You showed up when it mattered most and packed our Zoom calls, showed up in person, and organized in every school building across ACPS.

3.) You made democracy win by participating in our elections process and ensuring the RUN Slate had a 100% success rate. That is right all 27 candidates RUN put onto the ballot won their elections, delivering a powerful mandate for change!

You proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that member advocacy works!

However, winning the election was step one. Now, a brand-new, transparent, communicative, and truly member-led union begins.

We have an opportunity to build a workplace culture and a school district we can all finally be proud of, and we are going to do it together.

Here is our immediate roadmap:

1.) From day one, we are opening the doors. No more Non-Disclosure Agreements, no more locked-door secrets, and no more ignoring member inquiries.

2.) Our absolute top priority right now is ensuring our very first Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) actually takes care of our educators. We are heading straight back to the negotiating table immediately to repair and renegotiate our economic packages so our staff is protected for the upcoming year.

3.) Over the course of the upcoming school year, we will renegotiate the entire CBA to set a permanent precedent of competitive pay, absolute clarity, and total professional respect across all of ACPS.

Celebrate RUNners! Take a moment to reflect on what we accomplished together, because you earned every single bit of this victory.

While the road ahead will be a challenge, it is also incredibly exciting. We finally have the leadership, the momentum, and the collective voice required to give our educators the respect they deserve.

Thank you for your trust, thank you for your relentless advocacy, and thank you for your votes.
